PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (National Rooftop Solar Portal)
Who Can Apply?
Homeowners (individual households), housing societies, and farmers (for solar pumps).
Only applicable for residential buildings, not for commercial/industrial use.
Subsidy Amount (As of 2024 Guidelines):
1 kW system → ₹30,000 subsidy
2 kW system → ₹60,000 subsidy
3 kW system → ₹78,000 subsidy (maximum for individual homes)
(For systems above 3 kW, no additional subsidy is given)
Original Market Price (Approximate):
1 kW system → ₹75,000 to ₹85,000
2 kW system → ₹1,40,000 to ₹1,60,000
3 kW system → ₹1,95,000 to ₹2,20,000
(Price includes panel, inverter, structure, wiring, and installation)
Net Payable After Subsidy (Approx.):
1 kW → ₹45,000 to ₹55,000
2 kW → ₹80,000 to ₹1,00,000
3 kW → ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,40,000
